We all have our food addictions. For some, it's coffee or?chai,?and for others, it's something much more desi.?One man shared that he was trying to overcome his addiction to delectable buttermilk brought straight from supermarket refrigerators. He took to Twitter to voice his grievances.?
Twitter user Apoorv posted an image of his numerous buttermilk tetra packs that he had stashed to drink throughout the day and wrote, ¡°Please tell me how to get over amul masti addiction.¡±?Although it seems unlikely that the man is actually addicted to buttermilk and was not just using some classic hyperbole to express his love for the desi drink, Twitter users still came forward to help him quit the habit.
While people are addicted to many dangerous substances that might prove lethal in the end, Apoorv¡¯s choice of drink was much more subtle and acceptable. However, that does not mean the replies he got were any less intriguing.
One user gave up before even trying and commented, ¡°In my experience, this is not possible.¡±
While one dove through nostalgia in place of actually rendering some advice on the poor, suffering boy, ¡°You reminded me of old times.¡±
One guy had his own ideas: ¡°We need a support group ¡®Amul Mastiholics Anonymous.¡¯¡±
Another thought was that Apporv was a fool to even consider giving up, "The real question is, "why do you want to?" It's a great addiction."??
Finally, when some actual advice made it through the viral thread, a user wrote, ¡°By getting addicted to Amul Cool.¡±
While another fellow gave another brilliant idea to get over his buttermilk addiction, "Just don't do grocery where this is available."??
One user shared his own jugaad to end the addiction: ¡°Try amul probiotic buttermilk.¡±
A user gave Apporv another alternative, ¡°Upgrade to amul lassi.¡±
Another buttermilk fan, just like the user, shared that it was their dream to have a fridge stalked with buttermilk at all times, "One of my goals is to always have a 1L amul masti pack at every point of time in my fridge when I live in my own house."??
For those still unclear about what buttermilk is, "It is a fermented dairy drink. Traditionally, it was the liquid left behind after churning butter out of cultured cream." The drink is great for the digestive system as it contains healthy bacteria and lactic acid, which improve digestion and metabolism.
