We hope you are up to date on your monolith count because another one has been spotted on the Isle of Wight, England. This has come in just a few days of similar structures appearing and then disappearing in the US and Romania.?
Locals on the island were taken aback when they found the mysterious metal structure on Compton Beach. A man named Tom Dunford was walking his dog with his fiancee and his sister when he saw the object on Sunday morning. In conversation with Sky News, Dunford said he recognised the monolith thanks to similar sightings in Utah and Romania.?
He said, "We went down the steps and to the right about 100 yards in front us we saw this big reflection of the sun. I knew about all the monolith stories recently, so I recognised it straight away."??
Once people found out about the structure through social media, they went down to the beach to see for themselves. 31-year-old Ami Blackburn said,?"I thought it was very bizarre when I first saw it and immediately researched the ones found in Utah, California and Romania.?We moved some of the sand from around the bottom and it's partly buried but we felt underneath and it was made of wood with mirrors stuck to the side."?
She added, "I'd love the idea of it being delivered by aliens but it's more than likely an unusual art project. But can 2020 get any weirder?"?
So far no one knows where it has come from or why it is there - or how whoever installed it managed to carry the heavy object to the beach, which is only accessible by footpath.
This is just getting creepier.
