A man from Noida has allegedly blackmailed 50 women in thelast two years, and was in the middle of yet another performance sitting under a tree in City Park,Noida, on Tuesday evening, and reading from Durjoy Datta¡¯sbook, when the police arrested him.
?28-year-old Ravi Singh reportedly would hit City Park regularly with a bag in which he carried a webcam for video chats, a diary, and a copy of Datta¡¯s 'The World¡¯s Best Boyfriend'.

?It is a romance novel written by Datta whichrevolves around the characters Dhruv and Aranya.
He reportedly had sex chats with many of the women whostayed in touch with him.? According toTOI, these women reportedly received screenshots or video clips of the chats,and demands for a payoff, or an expensive gift. Singh would save screenshotsand chats in his pendrive.
According to reports, Singh carried a laptop bag in whichthere were 25 SIM cards, five cellphones and seven fake Aadhar cards, two webcameras, the novel and a diary with scribbles that looked like a secret code.
He wrote short forms of women¡¯s names in his diary with theirphone number. Most of the women he targeted were people he befriended on socialmedia or his college.

He targeted many such womenin the past two years. He had written their names in his diary in such a waythat nobody could understand easily.¡±

Police also found gold coins and an expensive watch from hishouse. Reportedly, he also received debit cards from some women. When Policeasked him how he managed to gain the trust of those women, he said that hewould read lines from Datta¡¯s novel The World¡¯s Best Boyfriend. He hasconfessed that he had blackmailed many women.

An FIR has been registered against Singh under Indian PenalCode sections 420 for cheating, 467 for forgery of valuable security, 468 forthe purpose of cheating, 471 for fraudulently or dishonestly uses as genuineany document, and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2008.
