A PTI report claims that India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heatwaves as Odisha continued to swelter in the grip of a severe heatwave on April 25, prompting the state government to suspend classes in all schools for five days from Tuesday.?
The state weather department's office said that several districts bore the brunt, including Cuttack, Khurda, Angul, Subarnapur, Boudh, and Nayagarh. The maximum temperature rose by 1-3? C in several places, while the minimum temperature was also higher than normal in some areas.
