Rollercoasters are fun until they aren't. The iconic rollercoaster in UK broke down in the middle of a ride with people near the top on April 25 and leaving the passengers stranded at more than 200 ft mid-air.
The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach suddenly stopped near the top while ascending forcing the park staff to guide the riders to safety by making them walk down, Lancashire Live reported.?
The Big One formerly known as Pepsi Max Big One, is known to be one of the tallest and steepest rollercoasters in the world at 65m tall. The ride opened in 1994 is very popular attraction in UK and sees huge rush of visitors who love a good adrenaline-filled ride.?
According to media reports, one person revealed how the ride stopped right at the top around afternoon and then staff had to guide the riders to walk down towards safety. They added if they would have been in the situation, they would have ¡°been really scared.¡±?

On Facebook, the park wrote, "The UK's tallest rollercoaster, The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, broke down 200ft in the air with a train full of passengers while climbing the lift hill yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Park staff scaled the ride before passengers were escorted on a nerve-tingling walk back down to ground level."
Dramatic photos captured the rescue as passengers were forced to make the terrifying descent down a set of stairs.
