Jaipur restaurant uses sari and mundu signs to indicate separate washrooms?

Ever gone into the wrong restroom? Internet users were concerned after seeing these restroom signs at a Jaipur restaurant and it's obvious why.

Internet users were left perplexed after podcaster Ravi Handa shared images of the restroom signs at a South Indian restaurant in the Vaishali Nagar neighbourhood.?

A red line on one sign indicates a sari while, on the other, it indicates a mundu. The former was intended for women and the latter for women obviously.

"Request to all restaurants - please start using English to indicate bathrooms. Stop relying on our fashion sense," Handa wrote.?In another tweet, he added, "For the few who don’t get it, Left with a slanted line is indicating a saari, so female. Right with a straight line coming down from the waist is indicating a lungi / dhoti / mundu, so male. Restaurant is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan."??

"I am just saying that having clear His / Her name plates is better," he further added.?

The tweet sparked a debate online?

A man wrote, "In these places if you get in wrong one you can just pretend to identify with that gender and problem solved."

Another man added, "I do not see a problem with this. The fact that men and women have different dresses is common knowledge.?The imagery is confusing, that is correct. Someone may mistake their assigned washrooms.?But I do not mind the sari and lungi comparison."
