Fans noted that a series of important events that dominated headlines last year had already occurred in The Simpsons universe ahead of time, leaving fans arguing whether the entire thing is a gigantic coincidence or a massive conspiracy theory.?
And now, The Simpsons have predicted one of the world's most unexpected musical combinations.
If you're a die-hard fan of the show that follows the life of Springfield's yellow family, I'm sure you remember the events of the 'Homerpalooza' episode.?
Almost thirty years after it first aired on Fox in May 1996, the show's plot has resurfaced - and it's not due of Homer's efforts to transform into a carnival freak at a music festival to wow his children.Instead, it's more about the celebs who appeared as guests in the program.
In an episode of The Simpsons, rocker Peter Frampton performed with bands Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as famed hip-hop band Cypress Hill, which included stars B-Real, Sen Dog, and Eric Bobo. However, it was the latter who became involved in the strange world of cartoon conspiracy theories.
During 'Homerpalooza', a music festival roadie leads a mob of tuxedo-clad guys clutching classical instruments through the backstage area, yelling: "Hello bands, who is playing with the London Symphony Orchestra?"?
"Come on people somebody ordered a London Symphony Orchestra...possibly while high," he says with a grin. "Cypress Hill, I'm looking in your direction."?
The musicians then have a little chat before revealing they 'think' they might have roped in the orchestra and going to them to ask whether they know their hit song, 'Insane in the Brain'.?
The unexpected pairing decides to 'give it a shot' and then belt out a great version of the song together, to which Marge approves, admitting, "Now this, I like!"?
The weird prophesy has now come true 28 years later, with Cypress Hill announcing that they would perform with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall on July 10, later this year.?
