More recently, a giant cobra was found sitting inside someone's shoe and ready to attack after it was poked. Unsurprisingly, a video of the incident went viral giving people nightmares for days. Imagine your worst nightmare coming to life: a snake jumps out at your as you try to grab your shoe from the rack. In a video that went viral recently, a giant cobra can be seen half coiled and half sitting inside someone's shoe and the chilling video is now giving people nightmares. As the clip progresses, the reptile gets a little poke from a metal rod and sensing a threat, the distressed cobra immediately takes a defensive position spreading its hood and hissing loudly. Luckily for the innocent creature, the man who came to him was a local snake rescuer who handled him with care and compassion, a reassuring thought indeed.

The video was shared on Instagram by user?sarpmitra_neerajprajapat, a professional snake rescuer based in Rajasthan, on July 12 and has managed to rake in 45.2 million views, 574k likes and comments to match. "Who is using the comment box as a shield," joked one user. "Beautiful and scary at the same time," added a second. "New fear unlocked," chimed in a third.
