Imagine spending close to four seconds in a tub full of ice cubes. Forget four minutes, most of us would be unable to manage four seconds. Perhaps these things come easy when you're a veteran adventurer and braving the elements comes naturally. Either way,?Polish adventurer Lukasz Szpunar is one brave man. Standing for four hours and two minutes while wearing only swimming trunks takes the kind of guts that aren't easy to come by. But this man achieved that feat and how. Here's all you need to know.
Szpunar was submerged in ice right up to chin. He reportedly wore only swimming trunks and a mouth guard, and, going by the clip, he was able to enjoy music of his choice thanks to the earphones taped to his head. There was also a photo of his child keeping him company. It was taped to the glass wall in front of him.
"Longest duration full body contact with ice (male) 4 hr 2 min by Lukasz Szpunar," read the caption accompanying the post. The 53-year-old Polish adventurer beat the previous record of 50 minutes with his stunt. There was a whole team of safety officials monitoring his vitals and watching over him throughout the process.
But what could possibly draw him to this??"Because of my love fo the cold, I wanted to test myself this time by sitting in the ice itself," he spoke at the event.
"India is not for beginners, average Aghori can do that with twice the temperature," wrote on Instagram user. "Impossible for normal people," wrote another person spelling out the truth. "So ... what's the point," questioned a third.?
