There are such weird species of animals, insects and birds in the world, that if you start looking for them on the Internet, you will be creeped out for life. You will need no horror movie to scare the bejesus out of you. The Internet is buzzing with the discovery - or rather the rediscovery - of one such creature.?
Before I start to tell you about it, I need you to recollect the scene from?Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone where?Voldemort¡¯s creepy head was coming out of the back of the head of Professor Quirrel. Keep that image in mind, you will know why, soon.?
People are flabbergasted after seeing the images and videos of a spider which seem to have a human face on its back.?
?
The spider was found in the Hunan region of Central China and its back looks eerily like a human face. The closest resemblance being that to Voldemort because you see, even the spider¡¯s back does not seem to have a nose. However, it does have two eyes, a mouth - which seems to be gaping in awe - and black markings that can pass off as hair.?
People's Daily China is a Chinese newspaper that posted a video of this creepy looking spider on their Twitter account, and captioned it, ¡®Has spiderman been found? This spider with a human-like face on its back was found at a home in China's Hunan and has gone viral on Chinese social media. Do you know its species?¡¯
The spider was reportedly found by a woman with the last name Li in the Yuanjiang city of Hunan. She found it in a plant inside her home.
The video has left the Internet tripping over the spider - while some find it cool, some think the video is fake and some - the Ron Weasleys of the world - have rediscovered their fear of spiders.?
?
Now, what is this spider? And has this been discovered for the first time? These kinds of spiders belong to the species of orb web spiders and are called the Araneus mitificus. They are?more commonly known as kidney garden spider or pale orb weaver and their existence has been long known. Having human face like features on their back is what makes this breed of spiders interesting and scary at the same time, and they are most commonly found in the regions of South, East, and Southeast Asia.
We're sure science has a good explanation for why it looks like that, but is sure is scary.
