No one likes their driver's license photo, but this Tennessee woman's picture was bad in a very different way - she wasn't in the picture at all, a chair was. Yep, her new ID - that should have had her photograph, had the image of an empty chair.?
While Her new license was perfect as an ID card for a furniture store, for Jade Dodd, it was more or less useless. She renewed her license online and received it in the mail last week, only to find that she probably couldn't use it.
¡°The lady at the DMV did not really believe me when I was like ¡®hey, I need my license fixed,¡¯¡± Dodd said. ¡°Then, she looked it up in the system and goes, ¡®oh, I need my manager for this.¡¯¡±
The picture of the chair became the main point of the license because it was the last photo taken and saved to Dodd's file,?the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security told WKRN-TV. The department added that the photo was taken accidentally.?
Dodd mentioned that she wasn't upset by the mistake. In fact, she said it lightened her mood during the ongoing pandemic crisis and gave her and her coworkers with a few laughs.?
¡°My boss thinks it¡¯s funnier than anyone,¡± Dodd added. ¡°I was at work Friday and he pointed to a chair outside of his office door and was like, ¡®I thought this was you, I waved at it this morning.'¡±
Dodd received her new license Monday ¡ª without the chair.?Well, thank God for that.?
Also, thank God that no other piece of furniture graced her license this time.
