Woman refuses to tie Rakhi to brother after he says he won't record 'cringe' reels with her
Raksha Bandhan may have come and gone but some crazy stories are still trickling in. The one thing you'd imagine all sisters would do is tie rakhis to their brothers. It's literally one day in the whole year, and tradition aside, it's a cute way to show your brother you care. But in this case, one young woman managed to throw a tantrum and refused to tie a Rakhi to her cousin all because he refused to record "cringe" reels with her.

Reddit user 'alwayscorrectt' recently took to the platform to share how shocked he was that his refused to him a rakhi on Raksha Bandhan. "Just like most people yesterday I was at my relative's house and all my cousins from different part of the country were present," they started off by saying explaining that like most people his family too got together at a relative's house to celebrate the festival.
The red flag cropped up for him when his cousin suggested making a reel to what he calls was "cringe" audio. "We all were enjoying it and then my cousin(23) asks all of us to make a reel on some cringe audio."
Now, not everyone is comfortable making reels and creating online content for that matter. In this case, too, OP claims he was shy and found it to be "awkward." "I was too shy and felt awkward doing that so i refused. Soo everyone else refused too," he wrote.
Next, his cousin tried to "convince" him that it wasn't a bad idea at all, and as if to support her case, cited the example of her friends who had all done the same thing apparently. "Then she showed me 6-7 of her friends who have made that reel with their cousins and she really wanted me to convince everyone to do that. That reel was cringe af and eventually we all didn't record that reel."
To make matters yet more awkward, the reel format was way too "cringe" according to OP who was convinced by now that he'd done the right thing not making a reel.
The real surprise came after this when she refused to tie him a rakhi all because he hadn't recorded a reel with her to show her friends. OP wrote, "She got so upset with me that she refused to tie me a Rakhi because of this reason. I still gave her gifts and all but is a Reel that important to people? She didn't even talk to me after that. Was I wrong?"
