Not a day goes without reports on women being sexually assaulted or stalked. It's a global phenomenon to which there seems to literally no solution.?
In another bone-chilling?incident, a New York woman was stalked all the way into her apartment. The incident shook her to the core and she decided to share details of it to spread awareness. 30-year-old Alex Araujo?began by saying that is not sharing her experience to garner sympathy but to warn women to be cautious at all times.
At first, Alex had no idea she was being followed, but chilling surveillance video showed a man - with his face, completely covered by a scarf and hood - lurking in the dark. She posted a video of a man who followed her into her building at 3:50 am - a few seconds after she entered the building.
Even after walking into her building, she had no idea someone was close behind or that he was watching her through the door for more than 10 seconds.? The stalker left after he noticed that Alex had seen him, and she immediately notfied the police.?
She said, "I keep replaying the incident over and over, thinking of the many factors that could¡¯ve caused a different outcome; me dropping my keys or stopping to look for them in my bag, being drunk and taking my time walking in, being distracted on my phone."
The police now say that it was a case of potential burglary but no arrest has been made yet as the man remains unidentifiable.
