Airtel, Aditya Birla Group, Keventer: Companies With Biggest Donations To Political Parties As Electoral Bonds

The Election Commission of India has revealed detailed data on electoral bond donations, with top contributors including lottery company Future Gaming and Hotel Services Pvt Ltd, mining giant Vedanta, Airtel, and Aditya Birla Group. Out of the top 30 donors, 14 were raided by probe agencies. The BJP received the highest contributions through electoral bonds, followed by the Congress. Electoral bonds were introduced by the Modi government in 2018 to enable anonymous and unlimited donations to political parties, aiming to block black money in politics. The scheme was recently scrapped by the Supreme Court to ensure transparency in political funding.
