Meet India¡¯s biggest election loser set to fight again
K. Padmarajan, a 65-year-old tyre repair shop owner from Tamil Nadu, is India's biggest election loser, having failed 238 times in various elections since 1988. Despite this, he continues to contest polls as a hobby, aiming not to win but to prove that an ordinary man can participate in politics. Padmarajan has spent several lakhs over the years on nomination fees and has competed against political heavyweights like PM Modi and former premiers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh. He plans to continue contesting until his last breath, though winning would shock him.
