The Villa Vie Odyssey marks the second residential cruise program allowing travelers to purchase a permanent cabin onboard. It made its departure on May 30. This cruise¡¯s? itinerary is crafted to ensure travelers stay in warmer climates for the entire duration of the voyage.
Cost Of Purchasing A Cabin, Monthly Rent And Segments Bifurcation Of The ¡®Endless Cruise¡¯
The journey is divided into 16 segments, encompassing 425 destinations spread over approximately 1,300 days. Travelers have the option to buy a cabin onboard or utilize the line's pay-as-you-go plan. New itineraries will be added on as the ship continues sailing around the world for the next 15 years.
Inside cabins can be purchased starting at $99,000 (Rs 82 lakh), accompanied by a monthly fee of $1,750 per person (Rs 1.5 lakh approx). For balcony cabins, the starting price is $249,000 (Rs 2 crore), with monthly fees beginning at $4,000 (Rs 3 lakh approx) per person.
Owners have the added flexibility to invite guests onboard and rent out their cabins to other travelers when they're not using them personally.
Villa Vie also provides a one-time payment option known as Endless Horizons. With this plan, travelers have the privilege to occupy a cabin for life, although they may not be assigned a specific cabin for the entire duration of their journey. Those opting for the Endless Horizons program will pay $299,999 (Rs 2.5 crore approx) for single occupancy or $499,999(Rs 4.1 crore) for double occupancy and will not be required to pay any additional monthly fees.
For the pay-as-you-go sailing option, prices begin at $89 (Rs 7,500) per person per day. Segment lengths can vary from 35 to 120 days.
Food and beverages, hard drinks during dinner, housekeeping, wifi, and doctor's appointments are all included in this (although not prescription drugs or medical treatments).

Villa Vie Odyssey isn't the largest vessel afloat¡ªthat distinction goes to the appropriately named Icon Of The Seas, which is five times the size of the Titanic and embarked from Miami in January.
The Villa Vie Odyssey boasts a modest 485 cabins, accommodating 800 passengers. These travelers will enjoy amenities such as three restaurants, five bars, a library, a pool, and a gym, along with a business center. Additionally, the ship offers a golf program, complete with an onboard golf simulator, and plans to organize excursions for passengers to play on golf courses around the world.
Due to its relatively compact size, the Villa Vie Odyssey can easily dock in smaller ports, allowing passengers to explore lesser-known destinations. Moreover, the extended duration of the journey affords passengers more time to immerse themselves in each location. As reported by CNN, the itinerary is strategically crafted to capitalize on the spring and summer seasons in both the northern and southern hemispheres, ensuring passengers bask in perpetual warmth throughout their voyage.

This ¡®Endless Cruise¡¯ Is Being Seen As An Alternative Retirement Plan
It is positioned as a less expensive alternative retirement plan than buying a house in various US locations. Grace and Jerry Grady, one couple, sold their American home and plan to rent a cabin for a year. It is feasible for them to invite friends and family; guests can stay for up to two weeks at a cost of $33 per person per day for a cabin.
The first lot of passengers consisted of single people, with 80% coming from the United States (followed by Canadians), and an average age of 58.?The benefits are clear: visitors won't ever have to worry about boredom, cooking, or cleaning.?Most unexpected, though, is how reasonably priced this way of life is.
