Satya Narayana Nadella is an Indian-American business executive who is currently the CEO and Chairman of Microsoft Corporation. Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and quickly climbed the ranks to become one of the company's top leaders. From 2011 to 2013, he was president of Microsoft's server and tools business, which generated about $19 billion in revenue annually.
Nadella also made significant contributions to cloud computing. He served as the executive vice president overseeing Microsoft's cloud computing platform, which supports services like the Bing search engine, the Xbox Live gaming network, and Office 365.

On February 4, 2014, Satya Nadella became the CEO of Microsoft. He is the third person to hold this position in the company's history, following co-founder Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. One of his early tasks was overseeing the completion of Microsoft's $7.2 billion acquisition of Nokia's mobile-device business. In 2016, under Nadella's leadership, Microsoft acquired LinkedIn, the business-oriented social networking site.
