In a one of the episodes of Shark Tank India's season three, two young Bihar entrepreneurs named Dilkhush Kumar and?Siddharth Shankar Jha?impressed and won over the judges with their analytical skills and the "jugaad" they used to secure funding for their taxi service company in their home state. But what stood out was the story of?Dilkhush, who was once rejected for the job of peon.
During Shark Tank India's ongoing third season, taxi startup RodBez's co-founder Dilkhush was questioned by OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal about his background and how he came to be in charge of a company that was bringing in Rs 8 lakh a month in commission payments.
The young businessman disclosed that the day he was turned down for a peon position was when he made the decision to start something of his own Dilkhush told the story of how his father, a bus driver, forced him into marriage at the age of 16, leaving him in charge of providing for the family.??
To earn money, he went for a job interview. ¡°When I went for an interview for the job of a peon, I was rejected as I couldn¡¯t recognise the logo of?Apple. They had already made their decision based on how I look. When I returned from there, I burnt my certificates and decided that I would never go for a job. I told my father to teach me how to drive and started working as a driver,¡± the shared.

He went into detail about how he launched his first company and made a Rs. 8 lakh commission from it. He left that company and secured an investment from an investment firm for his new venture, an app that provides taxi services, which was valued at Rs 4 crore. He also disclosed that he learned to code on YouTube and used that knowledge to create the user interface of his app, RodBez, as per TOI report.
Dilkhush's "clarity" of thought impressed Shark Tank India season three judge Ritesh, who also extended an offer to Vineeta Singh. They made him an offer of Rs 20 lakh with 5% equity and Rs 30 lakh with 12% interest on debt. Peyush recommended that Dilkhush carry on receiving funding from regional investors, just as he is doing at the moment. He did, however, choose to accept Ritesh and Vineeta's offer.
The co-founder had thanked the sharks and penned a heartfelt post after the deal.
