Edelweiss Mutual Fund CEO and MD Radhika Gupta is the latest entrant to the Shark Tank India judges panel. While she has appeared only in a handful of episodes till now, people across generations have started recognising her as a mentor and guide. She witnessed this first-hand at the Mumbai airport recently when she was approached by two random people while she was on her way to board her flight.?
She took to her LinkedIn page to share the incident.
She wrote, ¡°Flew out of Mumbai today, and was furiously walking to catch a flight post gate change.
In the walk, two people approached me because of Shark Tank India. One was a young SaaS techie, who was looking to eventually start a business. Another was an elderly security guard at the airport. As both walked with me, the elderly gentleman told me about a quick pitch about a business he wanted to start in his hometown in Karnataka.
The appeal of the show amazes me. It cuts across age, gender, income levels, and education. And this is new India - where regardless of where you come from and who you are, you dream of building!"
