While Sonu Sood spent most of his youth in Nagpur, he hails from a small city, Moga, in Punjab.

After years of struggle and rejections, he featured in a few South Indian movies. Sonu made his Bollywood debut with Shaheed-E-Azam in the role of Bhagat Singh in 2002.?

Not many people know that he played the role of Indian superhero Naag Raj (Pralay) in a TV commercial.

The movie that got him recognition in the industry was Yuva in which he played Abhishek Bachchan¡¯s brother. He shot to limelight with Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005.

Sonu Sood reportedly loves playing the guitar. He also has learned kickboxing. Being a fitness freak, he also enjoys spending hours in the gym.?

Apart from helping migrant workers recently, Sonu had donated money to martyr Jaimal Singh's family last year; he gave free gym membership, scholarship to students and opened a cricket academy for underprivileged children too.
