Ravindra Jadeja: India's Premier All-Rounder

When Hardik Pandya burst on the scene he was called the next Kapil Dev, India's Jacques Kallis and it seemed India's search for an all-rounder was over. What we failed to realise was that that the search had actually ended much earlier. A player over the past 3-4 years had already evolved into the all-rounder we needed. Yes, we are talking of Ravindra Jadeja.??

Ravindra Jadeja came into the side as early as 2009 but only began to establish himself across formats from 2012. That was when he began to perfect both his batting and bowling skills. Not to mention his brilliant fielding. From a bowler who could bat he was slowly becoming one who could do both consistently for India.??

Fast forward to 2022 and he is an integral part of Team India and has been for some years. And now we have finally recognised the fact that he is the all-rounder we always needed and had without knowing it. Be it the role of finisher, sheet-anchor or just go out and hit it, Ravindra Jadeja can do it all. As a bowler, he can keep runs down and take wickets at crucial intervals. The man is known to break partnerships just when India need him to. What else can one ask for???
