The cruise, 'MV Rajmahal' has been launched by the state-based Assam Bengal Navigation Company (ABN).
'MV Rajmahal' has 22 air-conditioned cabins spread over two decks, with floor-to-ceiling sliding windows and French balconies.?
In addition to the double cabins on both decks, there are 4 single cabins on the main deck.?
The cruise boasts of a saloon and bar as well as a dining room. A spa offers a variety of treatments.
The cruise has a sundeck with both open and shaded seating. All public rooms on the ship are air-conditioned.?
According to ABN, the food on board is a mixture of Assamese, North Indian and Continental.
Over 55 metres long, the 'MV Rajmahal' has been specially designed with a shallow draught to enable the river cruise, ABN's Managing Director Ashish Phookan has said.
MV Rajmahal is the first river vessel, of over 50 metres, to have sailed on the River Ganges along the ghats of Varanasi upto Chunar, claims ABN.?
