For those who are keen on attempting the feat, you need to take a flight from Stockholm to Osterstund, and then head another 75 kms northwest. The onsite accommodation and sauna facility compensates for the long journey. The USP? Traditional Scandinavian dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Think moose, herrings and meatballs.

To get here, you need to take a bus from the chef¡¯s other restaurant, Mr and Mrs Bund. Once you walk in, you are greeted by a profusion of lights, HD wall, scent diffusers and other audio visual effects.

It¡¯s a tiny dining space with just 10 seats and everyone eats together on the same table. The menu alternates on a weekly basis.

A word of caution: Bookings need to be made three months prior!

Le Meurice is undoubtedly one of the most expensive restaurants in the world. A truly regal affair, this place can never disappoint. Located on Rue de Rivoli, it is walking distance from the Louvre and overlooks the Jardin des Tuilleries.

The world¡¯s first underwater restaurant Ithaa, located in Maldives¡¯ Rangali Island, makes it possible. 16 feet below sea level, this all-glass structure offers a panoramic view of the coral gardens. Dinner is a six-course set, and at lunch time you are served a four-course meal.

Besides the fish, all other ingredients are imported. $300 is the minimum bill amount that you will pay. And to keep the restaurant clean, scuba divers take turns to wipe the glass structure before diners arrive.
