UK Travel Diaries: A Run Through Of A Traveller & Cricket Fan¡¯s Day During The ICC Champions Trophy

With the ongoing summer break, everyone is busy packing their bags and setting off to chill destinations across the globe. Considering that the cricket season is on, the most sought after destination is the United Kingdom (especially England and Wales). A couple of cricket fans who also happen to be travel enthusiasts have shared some spectacular photos with us from their travel diaries. From River Thames, Big Ben, Parliament to the Buckingham Palace, you can see them all and click tons of full-view pictures. A stroll along the mighty Tower Bridge

Just like we see in the movies, the Tower Bridge which is situated in the middle of Thames is great to take a peaceful stroll on. Either side of the bridge have some really spectacular views, so picnicking on the banks of Thames after a walk here or visiting an exhibition inside the Tower Bridge would be a great idea. This traveller has given us a really majestic view of the Tower Bridge (with the filters on F3) and a great group selfie that captures the whole Tower Bridge behind him. Beautiful, isn¡¯t it?

Visiting Her Majesty at the Buckingham Palace

Of course, you cannot visit the Queen but definitely, you can see Queen Victoria¡¯s statue set-up right across the Buckingham Palace. On the four corners of the monument, dark bronze statues of the Angel of Justice, the Angel of Truth and the Charity are present. On the pinnacle is the Victory with two seated figures. The statue of Queen Victoria faces north-east towards The Mall which runs towards the Buckingham Palace. If you have time, you can stroll down the Mall from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square like our traveller here did. It¡¯s worth the visit.

Living the Hogwarts life at Oxford University

This little city which boasts of dreamy spires, punts on the river and great academicians is perfect for a weekend break. You can just check-in to one of the Oxford rooms or stay at the Malmaison which is a castle-turned-prison-turned-hotel. Visit colleges which are the alma mater of famous scientists, strike a pose at Christ Church (which was Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series) and go punting. The sprawling greenery and grand castles will surely take you by surprise.

Exploring the streets of UK on foot

Walking down this place can never get boring or tiresome. Different sections of each city have their own specialities to offer. Be it South Kensington to Tower Hill or Chelsea to Rotherhithe in London, they have their own stories to speak to you as a traveller.
