Two Bored Guys From India And America Came Together To Make An¡ Earth Sandwich!
Lee St John from Minnesotate teamed up with his new friend Subash Luitel in India to take over the world with the Earth Sandwich challenge. The two got in touch through Facebook for this epic feat:
The Internet is a strange place. It's the place which can almost manifest your wildest imaginations - Like making an Earth Sandwich.
Before we talk about the incident, you must ask: What in God's name is an Earth Sandwich?!
In 2006, blogger Ze Frank proposed a challenge: make an earth sandwich. Slap a piece of bread on one piece of land while at the exact same time, another person slaps another piece of bread on the land directly opposite your piece.
And since then many have been game for this bizarre challenge. Recently, Lee St. John from Minnesota teamed up with his new friend, Subash Luitel, in India to take over the world with the Earth Sandwich challenge (quite literally)!
The two got in touch through Facebook for this epic feat:
They made it a point to perfectly time it too, Lee placed his slice of bread on the ground in Minnesota and had Subash place down a slice in Delhi, India
¡°I had just hoped it would get a few laughs from friends and get people thinking about bigger things they could do with the tools they already have,¡± Lee told the Press Association.
¡°I know to some it just seems ridiculous, it is, but it is also incredible that in just a few minutes I was able to meet a new person on the other side of the world, coordinate with them and actually pull something like that off.¡±
And they made it. Their post immediately went viral, with more than a 1,000 shares.
Lee also said that the idea stemmed from boredom. But now he plans to take this forward by getting in touch with Elon Musk. We're wondering what Musk-y contribution they might need.
