Based on a DC Comics character, Lucifer played by Tom Ellis is based on the life of Lucifer, who clearly got bored dealing with troubled souls and demons in Hell and is on a vacation.
He chooses Los Angeles as his destination and owns a nightclub named &Lux*. He soon becomes a consultant with LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) and helps Detective Chloe Decker nab the bad guys. He soon realizes that life on earth can be fun, but is conflicted when he realizes that he is falling in love with Chloe and has to hide his true identity from her.
While it is a regular police procedural, it has a lot of moments of fantasy and several biblical references. It is perhaps one of the most watched series on Netflix and the fans even saved it from cancellation by signing several petitions.

2. A Discovery Of Witches
For the ardent fans of Harry Potter, this series &A Discovery Of Witches* may bring back a lot of memories. For once, it is based at a university. Teresa Palmer stars as Diana Bishop, a historian at Yale University, but who is also studying alchemy and science at University of Oxford. She has given up her magical heritage as her parents were killed by humans and is raised by her aunts. She chances upon a sacred old book which unravels secrets and she soon finds herself in close encounters with a mysterious geneticist and vampire Matthew Clairmont. The series recently released their third and final season.

3. Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina
For people with weak stomachs, this series may not be the right one for you. But for those who love dark magic and witchcraft, this series should definitely be on your binge-watch list. Based on the infamous Archie Comics character Sabrina, played by Kiernan Shipka, she is conflicted between her identity as a witch and a regular high-school going teenager. As the series progresses, we soon find out that Sabrina has a legacy that she may not want the world to know. Soon, she also finds herself in the middle of a love triangle that may further take her away from her life*s true mission.

This one is a surprise find and not an English language series on Netflix. This series is based in Colombia and features a witch who manages to travel to the future when she is about to be executed for being a witch. She enters university and befriends students, but her past clearly comes up catching with her. This series has been praised particularly for having a black lead and for having a progressive storyline.

5. Nancy Drew
Based on the famous Nancy Drew Mystery books, this series is reimagined with a twist. Kennedy Mccann plays Nancy Drew, a teenager who gets entangled in the mystery surrounding the death of a socialite, Tiffany Hudson. She along with her friends soon realise that this is no ordinary death and that their small sleepy town of Horseshoe Bay has hidden secrets and all the strange happenings around them are due to supernatural forces.

For the lovers of Game Of Thrones and Lord Of The Rings, Amazon Prime*s The Wheel Of Time is a story based on Aes Sedai, a women*s organization who can channel and bring forth the &One Power*. Rosamund Pike stars as Moiraine Damodred, a woman who is trying to save the world from an evil enemy known as the &Dark One*, who can destroy the world and bring in evil forces.

For people who love family movies and romance, Good Witch serves as a perfectly warm and comforting watch. Catherine Bell stars as Cassandra Cassie Nightingale, who is widowed and lives in a small town named Middleton. She uses her psychic abilities and magic to help and cure people from their maladies and ailments. The show is focused more on her romance with Sam and how she deals with the curses related to her lineage.

8. Just Add Magic
Didn*t think we would have something for the kids, now did you? Well, this three-season series on Amazon Prime is about a magical book that has recipes with magical ingredients that can solve any problems. The rules are that there will be three keepers of the book and the current keepers are Kelly, Darbie and Hannah from Saffron Falls. However, being a &keeper* is no child*s play and soon the trio find themselves in situations that arise because someone wants the book for their own selfish needs. This series is one of the most loved children*s series on Amazon. It ended in 2020, but all seasons are still streaming on Amazon Prime.

9. Worst Witch
Yet another kiddie show makes it to the list. Worst Witch is based on books of the same name by Jill Murphy. The story is about Mildred Hubble, a well-meaning yet scatterbrained girl who discovers she has magical powers and is soon admitted to Cackle*s Academy For Witches. But when she starts the school, she realizes she is far behind on her spells and witchcraft knowledge as she is from a non-wizard/witch family and most of her peers are from witching families.

10. The Originals
A spinoff of the much loved &Vampire Diaries*, The Originals is based on the lives of the three Mikaelson siblings- Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah. The Mikaelsons were the first vampires to ever exist and are hence known as &The Originals*. They have run-ins with werewolves, where Klaus is a hybrid- half werewolf and half vampire. His family and himself soon finds themselves embroiled in the vicious fights between the supernatural beings and wizarding politics in French Quarter, a town in New Orleans.
