After Tanushree Dutta, Kangana Ranaut Takes #MeToo Forward, Accuses ¡®Queen¡¯ Director Of Sexual Misconduct

It was in 2017 that the #MeToo movement became a rage on the social media. But Bollywood remained mum even then. Although, celebrities, on social media, urged women to speak up and shame the victims, none of the celebrities talked about their own experiences. They, in fact, said that a lot of people like Harvey Weinstein exist in Bollywood too, but no names were revealed.

Finally, after Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Pateker of sexually harassing her ten years ago on the sets of her film Horn Ok Pleasss, it seemed that India was finally witnessing the #MeToo movement.

Queen director Vikas Bahl who was accused of sexual harassment last year by an employee of Phantom Films, had denied the allegations then. The case was forgotten thereafter.

But once again, the victim, in an interview with HuffPost India reiterated the allegations and shared further details on the same. Vikas Bahl masturbated on her back, she said. She said she reached out to Anurag Kashyap, but no action was taken. Kashyap, now, has apologised saying that he failed her.

Adding to the #MeToo movement, Kagnana Ranaut has also raised voice against Queen director Vikas Bahl. She said that he would hold her tight and smell her hair, and also bragged about sleeping with a new woman everyday.

¡°(I) Totally believe her, even though Vikas was married back in 2014 when we were filming Queen, he bragged about having casual sex with a new partner every other day. I don't judge people and their marriages but you can tell when addiction becomes sickness.¡±

Furthermore, Kangana Ranaut revealed she was herself scared of him.

¡°But still every time we met, socially greeted and hugged each other, he'd bury his face in my neck, hold me really tight and breathe in the smell of my hair. It took me great amount of strength and effort to pull myself out of his embrace. He'd say 'I love how you smell K'. I could tell something is wrong with him.¡±

Kangana says she supports the woman who has levied sexual harassment allegations against him. In fact, because she supported her, she lost a film.

She said Vikas Bahl came to her with a script about a gold medalist from Haryana but he stopped talking to her after she supported the woman.

¡°I didn't mind losing out on a good script and I never called him either. I was determined to say what I felt was right but the matter was pushed under the carpet and I didn't hear any updates about the same. It's amusing after the news of Phantom dissolution, many are finding the courage to attack him."

Shame on such a society, go look at yourselves in the mirror bunch of cowards. Attacking powerless men won't begin a movement. Lets not be opportunists. Selective outrage will only serve as entertainment, this will just be tabloid gossip and nothing else,¡± she added.
