Barroz box office verdict: Mohanlal¡¯s Barroz, which hit the screens on December 25, created a great deal of buzz among fans ahead of its release with its intriguing trailer. This helped it open to a fair response at the box office. The fantasy drama, however, failed to keep the momentum going and crashed on the second day itself. The film¡¯s run in theatres is now over and the results are quite disappointing.

Barroz flops, Mohanlal suffers a setback

Barroz, Mohanlal¡¯s first film as a director, has failed to live up to expectations at the box office despite the Complete Actor¡¯s popularity. According to Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst and tracker, Barroz grossed Rs 16.25 crore at the worldwide box office.

¡°Barroz has grossed just ?16.25 cr at the WW Box Office. It was made on a budget of ?100 cr. This is the biggest disaster from Mollywood,¡± he told India Times.

Barroz received mixed reviews with critics praising the storyline but panning the presentation. This went against it. The film also failed to hold its own against Unni Mukundan¡¯s Marco.
