Plot
A Very Royal Scandal is based on the 2019 real-life interview of Prince Andrew, in which he talked about the scandalous accusations and rumours of him being involved with Jeffrey Epstein. No one back then had imagined that the now-famous interview would be this big of a disaster. According to media reports, the series will also show the drama that took place behind the scenes of the real interview. The show will have scenes inspired by what really happened when, behind the cameras, the journalist and the Duke of York prepared for the interview.
The real-life interview not only affected the royal family but also had impacts on the whole world.

Before Prime Video, OTT platform Netflix has released a dramatisation of the 2019 real interview, inspired by Mcalister's book that starred Rufus Sewell and was released earlier this year.
Cast and crew
The Prime Video show has a star cast that includes actor Michael Sheen, who will be starring as Prince Andrew, and then there is actor Ruth Wilson, who will be playing Emily Maitlis. Other supporting actors are Eanna Hardwicke, Alex Jennings, and Joanna Scanlan, among others.
