Horror-comedy Abigail has its OTT release date set for Indian viewers. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are the directors of the film and in the movie, Melissa Barrera plays Joey in the movie, while Dan Stevens plays Frank and William Catlett plays Rickles.
Horror-comedies are a great way to keep yourself entertained. The OTT release date for an upcoming film in the same genre, Abigail, has been announced. The movie, which starred Melissa Barrera and Alisha Weir, debuted on April 7, 2024, at the Overlook Film Festival. On April 19, it was released in theaters. The movie is about to captivate viewers on OTT, months after it opened in theaters. Abigail will release on Jio Cinema on 26th August 2024.
Plot
The film's narrative centers on the life of a young woman named "Abigail." In order to obtain a $50 million ransom, a group of thieves kidnaps a teenage ballet dancer who happens to be the daughter of a well-known gang leader. However, as time goes on, they learn that the girl is not your typical young girl.
One by one, as the kidnappers start to disappear, they learn¡ªto their growing horror¡ªthat they are imprisoned inside with an odd female. As the girl transforms into the devil and devours each kidnapper individually, strange things begin to happen to the kidnappers. But this girl, a 12-year-old Ballot Dancer, is endowed with superhuman abilities.
But when the kidnappers learn that the 12-year-old girl is a vampire rather than just a regular girl, they quickly experience the shock of their lives.
Cast
Melissa Barrera plays Joey in the movie, while Dan Stevens plays Frank, William Catlett plays Rickles, Alisha Weir plays Abigail, and Kathryn Newton plays Sammy. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are the directors.
