After Owning The OTT Space With 'Farzi', Vijay Sethupathi To Feature In Hindi Film 'Mumbaikar'

Vijay Sethupathi is all set to make his Hindi feature film debut on OTT after impressing the audiences with his Hindi web series debut in Farzi opposite Shahid Kapoor. Along with Vikrant Massey, Hridhu Haroon, Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey, Tanya Maniktala, and Sachin Khedekar, the actor will soon be featured in the film 'Mumbaikar'.

With this film, Mumbaikar, directed by Santosh Sivan, Vijay Sethupathi makes his Hindi film debut.

Mumbaikar is the Hindi version of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Tamil film, Maanagaram.

The city of dreams - Mumbai itself will play a crucial character in Mumbaikar, a thriller that follows the Hyperlink narrative connecting four young individuals from different origins, and its settings will become an essential component of the drama.

Santosh previously claimed that Mumbai has a distinctive vibe just like any other city and that the name has come to represent for the everlasting desire to succeed, according to OTT Play. Mumbai is like a magnet for people. Aspirants hail from all reaches of India and all major religions. Since people's reactions to Vijay speaking in Hindi in Farzi were divided, it will be intriguing to watch how he performs in a Hindi film this time.

On June 2, 2023, the movie will have its JioCinema premiere instead of a usual theatre debut.
