What¡¯s the story of Angi: Fake Life, True Crime?

At the center of this documentary is Mar¨ªa ?ngeles Molina, also known as Angi. On the surface, she seemed like a normal woman. But in 2008, she was convicted for killing a young woman named Ana P¨¢ez, in what came to be known as ¡°The Near-Perfect Crime.¡± But the rabbit hole goes deeper.

Years before that, Angi¡¯s own husband, Juan Antonio ?lvarez Litben, a businessman, died under strange circumstances back in 1996. That case had gone cold until the 2008 murder brought everything back. This docuseries chronicles both cases, uncovering details that have never been seen before by the public.

Directed by Carlos Agull¨® (Rosa Peral¡¯s Tapes, The Challenge: 11M), this series goes behind the curtain. Agull¨® and his team didn¡¯t rely on just basic facts, they dug into more than 2,000 pages of case files, police reports, and personal documents. They also interviewed over 60 people: former cops, private detectives, family members, and others who were close to both crimes.
