Anuja OTT release date: Anuja, an Oscar-nominated movie, will debut on Netflix worldwide. Supported by Guneet Monga and Priyanka Chopra, among others, the film will soon be available for streaming. The trailer for the movie was released by Netflix in anticipation of its OTT debut. The video centers on nine-year-old Anuja and her seventeen-year-old sister, Palak. Anuja will be released on Netflix on 5th February 2025.
Plot
As they labour at a back-alley clothing factory, the film centers on Anuja, a talented nine-year-old girl, and her seventeen-year-old sister, Palak. The sisters must overcome obstacles that try their relationship and fortitude when a kind teacher gives Anuja the opportunity to enroll in a top boarding school. This leads to a decision that will change the lives of innumerable young girls around the world.
Cast and crew
It stars Ananya Shanbhag (Palak), Sajda Pathan (Anuja), Nagesh Bhosle (Mr. Verma) and others. A stellar group of producers, including Suchitra Mattai, Mindy Kaling, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Krushan Naik, Aaron Kopp, Devananda Graves, Michael Graves, Ksheetij Saini, and Alexandra Blaney, have supported the movie. Anita Bhatia and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are executive producers.
The production team
The Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT), a nonprofit organisation established by the family of famous filmmaker Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding), Shine Global , the production company behind Emmy and Academy Award-winning movies like War/Dance (2007) and Inocente (2012), and Krushan Naik Films collaborated on the production of Anuja. The movie has been written and directed by the very talented Adam J. Graves.
