Azaad OTT Release Date: Ajay Devgn¡¯s nephew Aaman recently made his acting debut with Raveena Tandon¡¯s daughter Rasha Thadani. Released theatrically on 17th January, the film was a box office bomb. After a long delay, the OTT details of this thriller have arrived. According to ABP, Azaad will be streaming on Netflix starting March 14, 2025. However, an official confirmation is awaited!
Azaad¡¯s plot summary
Govind (Aaman), a stable hand, works for Rai Bahadur, a local landowner who supports British rule. He becomes fascinated with Azaad, a strong and spirited horse owned by rebel leader Vikram Singh (Ajay). After Vikram is killed in his fight against the British, Govind inherits Azaad and becomes entangled in the larger struggle for freedom.
Rai Bahadur (Piyush Mishra) demands that Govind hand over the horse, but Govind refuses, seeing Azaad as a symbol of resistance. Tensions rise as Rai Bahadur¡¯s men try to seize the horse, leading to a climactic horse-riding challenge at the Ardh Kumbh fair, where Govind must face his enemies and decide where his loyalties lie.
Azaad¡¯s review
The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Azaad is a film mounted on a grand scale that performs well in most departments. However, the burden of carrying the film by two newcomers becomes a bit much, and this reflects in the execution. While ¡®Azaad¡¯ has moments of grandeur, it is overshadowed by an overall lack of emotional and narrative payoff. It is a grand spectacle with noble intentions but leaves a muted impression.¡±
Other than Ajay, Aaman and Rasha, Azaad also stars Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra, Mohit Malik, Jiya Amin, and Dylan Jones in key roles. This Amit Trivedi musical is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor under RSVP Movies and Guy In The Sky Pictures.
