Baapu (A Father's Story) is a satirical comedy-drama inspired by true events, offering a lighthearted yet thought-provoking take on village life and its struggles.

At its core, the film follows a farming family facing a drastic situation¡ªone member must die for the others to survive.

Despite its dark premise, Baapu blends humor with emotion, using dark comedy to tell a deeply moving story.

The first-look poster, unveiled by Rana Daggubati, showcases a family gathered around their father, emphasising themes of familial bonds and transformation.

The film skillfully mixes fun, drama, and satire to present an unconventional yet impactful narrative.

Baapu is produced by Raju and CH. Bhanu Prasad Reddy under Comrade Film Factory and Atheera banners. The film is written and directed by Daya.

The cast features Brahmaji, Aamani, Dhanya Balakrishna, Sudhakar Reddy Kethiri, and Srinivas Avasarala.

Music is composed by RR Dhruvan, with cinematography by Vasu Pendem and editing by Aalayam Anil.

Sripal Macharla is the production designer, while Mythili Seetha handles costumes.
