Barroz OTT release date: Last year on Christmas Day, December 25, Mohanlal's first film as a filmmaker, Barroz, was released. The film will soon be available on digital platforms. Mohanlal plays the titular character in the film. Maya Rao West portrays Isa Ron/Isabella da Gama.
Barroz OTT release date: Barroz, was first written by Jijo Punnoose and based on his book Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure. As a result of Mohanlal and T. K. Rajeev Kumar's joint efforts to alter the sequences, characters, and settings, Punnoose was forced to leave the movie and forfeit his credits.The movie which was released on the big screen on 25th December 2025 is soon to make its digital debut soon. Barroz will be released on Disney+Hotstar. The movie will be released in the last week of January 2025 as per reports.
Plot
A devoted lieutenant who works for Portugal's Da Gama kings is the subject of the film Barroz, which was directed and starred Mohanlal. The story takes place in 1663, and the monarch gives Barroz a vital task: to guard a treasure and make sure it is only given to a Da Gama descendant.
Barroz continues to carry out his responsibility, protecting the wealth for four hundred years. Waiting for the appropriate person to claim it, he transforms into a spirit guardian. That individual is Isabella, a little child who is thought to be a Da Gama descendant. In order to fulfill Barroz's pledge to the king and enable the spirit to return to his world, she must now take the riches.
Cast and crew
Mohanlal plays the titular character in the film. Maya Rao West portrays Isa Ron/Isabella da Gama. June Vig portrays a young Isabella da Gama, and Nerea Camacho makes a brief appearance as an adult Isa Ron.
Tuhin Menon, who plays Ron Madhav, is another well-known cast member. Theresa da Gama is played by Kallirroi Tziafeta, and Joshua Okesalako plays occultist Muwesi Maria.
