The story starring Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti quickly won over the audience's hearts and left them craving for more. And now a brand-new season of the programme is on the way.
For those who want a short summary, let's jump into it now. However, those who haven't watched the show yet, retreat because there are spoilers ahead!
Wedding Planners
Two wedding planners from the nation's capital, Karan Mehra (Arjun Mathur) and Tara Khanna (Sobhita Dhulipala), own and operate a wedding business called Made in Heaven.
The show focuses on both their professional endeavours and their problems-ridden personal lives. It brings up issues like same-sex relationships, extramarital affairs, lying to get money, and, well, ingrained misogyny.
After a tragic vehicle accident that critically wounds Faiza (Kalki), Tara unintentionally learns that Adil (Jim Sarbh) and Faiza were having an affair. In spite of this information, Tara decides to put saving Faiza's life first. An emotional and heartbreaking event in the story's progression occurs as Adil visits Faiza in the hospital and Faiza informs him that she won't be able to keep their relationship going.
In the meantime, Tara discusses their relationship with Adil and recalls how it all began with dishonesty. She acknowledges that she intentionally became close to him at work in order to cause difficulty between Adil and his to-be wife so she could live a life of luxury. She feels bad about what she did and thinks she is now paying for it.
Karan's landlord, on the other hand, secretly records him having a sexual encounter with his companion. The landlord lies when he is caught by his wife and has Karan taken into custody, where a police officer mistreats him. An unexpected reality later comes to light when Karan decides to sue his landlord. The landlord acknowledges that he has lived in denial about being gay his entire life.
Where Did Season 1 End?
By getting in touch with an old buddy, Vikrant Massey, Karan tries to face his inner demons, which brings up memories of his prior denial of his true nature. Later, right-wing fanatics who are opposed to homosexuality attack their place of employment, where both Tara and Karan find themselves.
Why Was Season 1 So Loved?
Because Made In Heaven addressed so many topics at once, it was well-liked. From the purpose of big, lavish weddings to forced unions, consent, politics, homosexuality, and other issues, the filmmakers tackled these subjects. On top of that, they assembled an outstanding cast that upheld the script and won over audiences.
It would be interesting to see if Tara and Adil can keep their marriage together or if they truly end up divorcing. Along with that, Made In Heaven will continue to host a lot of weddings and parties. Will Karan be with the guy he loves at last? Will the business turn a profit? In season 2, there are still so many unanswered questions.
