Red Chillies Entertainment is the production company behind the movie, which was co-produced and directed by Gaurav Verma and Gauri Khan. Key characters are played by Bhumi Pednekar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. On Thursday, the movie's teaser was unveiled by the makers.
The teaser was captioned, ¡°The story of one journalist who would stop at nothing to uncover the truth. #Bhakshak inspired by true events coming on 9th February, only on Netflix.¡±

What Is Bhakshak About?
The struggle of a steadfast lady seeking justice is explored in Bhakshak. As Vaishali Singh, Bhumi Pednekar plays the part of an investigative journalist who seeks to expose a horrible crime and expose the ground truth of crimes against women.

Director Pulkit Talks About Bhakshak

Bhumi Pednekar¡¯s Work So Far
She spent six years working for Yash Raj Films as an assistant casting director before making her screen debut as an obese bride in the romantic comedy Dum Laga Ke Haisha. For this role, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She became well-known for her roles in the financially successful comedy-dramas Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bala, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. She was twice awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her roles as a closeted lesbian in Badhaai Do and as the septuagenarian sniper Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh.
