Plot

Vicky Kaushal plays Sambhaji, the second emperor of the Maratha Confederacy, in the 2025 Indian historical action movie Chhaava. It is based on Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel Chhava. The film, which was directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, also features Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna. Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan wrote the lyrics, while A. R. Rahman created the soundtrack album and the movie score. On February 14, 2025, it was released in theaters.
