Coolie OTT Release: Where to watch Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna¡¯s Tamil action thriller after its theatrical run
Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna¡¯s highly anticipated Tamil film Coolie has reportedly locked an OTT partner, and it's one of the most huge pre-business deals of all time. Here¡¯s all you need to know about it.

Coolie OTT Release: Rajinikanth is all set to headline an ensemble featuring the likes of Nagarjuna and Upendra in this upcoming thriller. Tentatively scheduled for a grand theatrical debut on 1st May, the Tamil saga has also locked a bumper OTT deal. As per a 123Telugu report, Coolie¡¯s streaming rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs 120 crore. This is the highest-ever digital rights deal for a Rajinikanth film.

This Anirudh Ravichander musical also stars Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR and Monisha Blessy in key roles alongside cameos of Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his first collaboration with Rajinikanth, Coolie is produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, cinematographed by Girish Gangadharan and edited by Philomin Raj.
The story revolves around Deva (Rajinikanth)'s involvement in the risky world of gold smuggling set against usual themes of danger, deception, and betrayal. Rajinikanth's character is described as having dual shades, which we can only learn more about after the teaser or trailer drops. Filming took place across various locations, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok.

In a conversation with India Today, Upendra (last seen in UI) labelled his experience of working with Rajinikanth a 'dream come true moment'. He shared, "Once I start talking about Rajni sir, I won't be able to stop. I have a lot to talk about him. All I can say right now is that I am very excited about the film. It's a lifetime opportunity, I always think. It was long overdue. It was a dream to work with him, and now it has happened."
