Following Gangubai's success, Alia is back with a bang with Darlings. The movie Darlings marks the actress¡¯s OTT debut. The plot centres on a husband-wife relationship and the husband's alcoholism. Known for his role selections, Vijay Varma has earned the title of a classic actor. He portrays the violent and short-tempered character of Hamza, who is an alcoholic. Badru, a victim of domestic abuse, frequently hides her husband's wrongdoing. Shefali Shah's portrayal of her mother counsels her daughter to divorce her husband. When Badru has had enough, she reaches out and gives the abuser a taste of his own medicine.
