Plot
The 1860s每1870s Old West is the setting for the television series. Django travels to New Babylon, a community established by John Ellis, where misfits of all stripes are accepted, regardless of their upbringing or religious views. Django's family was slain eight years prior, but he thinks his daughter Sarah lived and has been looking for her ever since. In New Babylon, Django finds her, but she's preparing to wed Ellis. Sarah, however, is afraid that problems may follow Django and does not want him to stay in the town. Django is adamant on staying with her and getting back in touch with his daughter.

Italian series Django has been adapted by Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli. Maddalena Ravagli, Max Hurwitz, Leonardo Fasoli, and Francesca Comencini are the series' writers and directors. The series was created by Atlantique Productions with Cattleya, while Mokadelic composed the music. In addition to Nicholas Pinnock as John Ellis, Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Thurman, Lisa Vicari as Sarah Wright, Jyuddah Jaymes as Seymour Ellis, Eric Kole as Phillip Ellis, Tom Austen as Elijah Turner, Abigail Thorn as Jess, and Tobi Ibitoye as Harry, the series stars Matthias Schoenaerts in a tutorial role.
