With his horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities, Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro has managed to give audiences the finest Halloween present.
The eight-part miniseries has recently begun to stream, and movie-buffs of the genre are loving it. Del Toro can be relied on to deliver in the horror category. He pioneered practical effects and special makeup in Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy and now applies his eerie sensibilities to OTT.
Even though it is expected that any anthology series would have its share of successes and failures, nothing in this cabinet is worth throwing away. Del Toro wrote two of the episodes but "curated" them all, bringing together eight directors to develop inner horrors.

Here's How The Internet Is Reacting To Horror-Series 'Cabinet Of Curiosities'
Heads-up for birdy people on Netflix. Episode 8 of Guillermo del Toro¡¯s new series A Cabinet of Curiosities is a ghost story about 2 research ornithologists working on dunlin (The Murmuring - available 28th Oct). 5star Guardian review. I appreciate that in the intro to every Cabinet of Curiosities episode GDT tells you who directed the episode. It avoids the audience mistakenly thinking he directed them all.

Literally after Creepshow2, I threw on the EC Comics documentary for probably the 20th time. (We'll likely never see a big budget Gaines & Feldstein bio pic, documenting the artists, the rise of Crypt/MAD, and the fight against Wertham et al., but what I'd pay to see it!)

I feel like I had seen the Graveyard Rats episode before - and I mean that in the literal sense. Like I have a distinct memory of another show doing almost the exact same thing. Was it based on a short story or something?

Wish I could remember the other show in question.
Horror anthology shows are the hardest thing to do well. But I really liked the first couple of entries in Guillermo del Toro¡¯s Cabinet of Curiosities. Reminds me of The Night Gallery but with a lot more gore and ramped up craziness. Looking forward to watching the rest of it.

I was blown away by the first two of episodes of Guillermo Del Toro¡¯s Cabinet of Curiosities. Incredibly strong and gruesome horror anthology in the E.C. vein, bolstered by great monster design work by Guy Davis and liberal amounts of humour and gore. A gift to me especially. pic.twitter.com/nUTe9bF6Hl
