Karan Johar To Share Details Of His Fallout With Kareena Kapoor & Kajol On Koffee With Karan 8

Two episodes of Koffee With Karan season 8 have been a revelation. Taking a new route of unfiltered and candid conversations this time, host Karan Johar has kept his promise that the new season will be different from the previous ones as they will not revolve around gossip, celeb affairs and other frivolous chatter.

Both Ranveer Singh - Deepika Padukone and Sunny Deol - Bobby Deol episodes consisted of heart-to-heart conversations with Karan Johar and this won the hearts of many.

Unseen and unheard facts of the celebrities turned out to be a massive hit and looks like KJo will continue to keep the tradition throughout the current season.

As per reports, in the third episode which will feature Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, Karan will address his fallout with his closest friends in the industry - Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.

He had also mentioned his fight with Kajol in his biography An Unsuitable Boy.

With Kareena Kapoor, his cold war was over his film Kal Ho Na Ho

Talking about it, Karan Johar said, ¡°Twice in my life, I had differences with close friends of mine. One was with Kareena way back in 2003, we didn't speak for a year and a half. It was over a film, it was over Kal Ho Na Ho and it was only when my father was diagnosed with cancer that actually she called me, she was silent, and I was silent. She was like I don't know what to say, I said, don't say anything, I know you are there. When he passed away, she was in Bangkok, we still had not mended, and the point she landed from her shoot, she came home. We spent all night just chatting. We went back to where we were. When we fought, I said I was never going to speak with her again."

With Kajol, it was due to a 'release date clash' with her husband Ajay Devgn, as per several reports

Hopefully, we will see Karan Johar and Ajay Devgn talk about the same as Ajay is touted to make an appearance with his good friend and director Rohit Shetty.

About his equation with Kajol, KJo said, "It happened years later, with Kajol, which was also like such an emotional bond. We felt we would never be together, but both landed up. I remember messaging Kajol when my babies were born and we hadn't spoken in two years. I just sent her images of Yash and Roohi. I said you don't need to reply but these are what my children look like - Yash and Roohi. She messaged back and she said, I am just full of love right now. A month later, she said, 'It's my birthday, you don't have to come.' But I went. We hugged, we cried and it was done."
