Koffee With Karan 8: Fans Laud Rohit Shetty For Saying That He Failed As A Director In 'Cirkus'
As everyone knows, Rohit Shetty's Cirkus was not only weakly received by critics but also performed poorly at the box office.
As everyone knows, Rohit Shetty's Cirkus was not only weakly received by critics but also performed poorly at the box office. When Karan asked Rohit why he thought Cirkus did not perform well in the rapid fire round of the most recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8, the modest and sincere Rohit Shetty responded, "because I failed as a director."
Shetty had also said, "When Cirkus didn't do well, Anupam Kher came to my office. He's a friend and we've worked on one film and one very good thing he said, 'After a point in your life when you've worked so much, it's the event that fails, it's not you.' And yes, we went wrong and it was a film made during the pandemic and was made before Sooryavanshi was released. Somewhere I, as a director went wrong with that film, and good it was a small film that went wrong with, not a big one."
Now a clip of the same has been going viral and the internet is reacting to it. One wrote, ¡°Also his knowledge about bollywood made me like him even more¡ he knows the industry he is working in so well unlike so many actors and directors who work in bollywood but don¡¯t know shit about it but will answer questions related to hollywood films.¡±
It¡¯s good that he¡¯s self-aware in the times of #shamsheraismine.

Another added, ¡°Honestly I don¡¯t think I have ever liked any Rohit Shetty movie but to accept he messed up instead of the typical ¡°released at the wrong time¡± nonsense is quite commendable.¡±
Rohit Shetty Talks About His Struggle In The Industry
Rohit Shetty discussed the challenges his family faced following the death of his father, a well-known stuntman, when he was just eight years old. He spoke openly about his mother's perseverance, explaining how she took on supporting roles in films as a junior artist to help the family through difficult times.
He stressed that despite the fact that his father, M.B. Shetty, is a well-known stuntman, few people are aware of his challenging background, even though many see him as a blockbuster machine. Rohit disclosed that his father passed away when he was just eight or nine years old, and that his family struggled financially until he was sixteen. His mother, a stunt artist who had collaborated with his father, had abandoned her career after getting married. Still, she returned to her career as a junior artist in motion pictures until Rohit entered the workforce as a result of his father's passing and the resulting financial hardship.
