Laila OTT Release Date: Vishwak Sen recently headlined a Telugu film which opened to highly negative reviews in theatres. Released worldwide on the 14th February, the romantic comedy was directed by Ram Narayan and was highly criticised for its predictable plot, retrogressive notions and crass narrative. Now that Laila is ready to live a second life on OTT, here are five things to know about it.

Laila is all set to stream on Amazon Prime Video starting March 9. The film earned a total of Rs 4.86 crore globally.

4. Laila¡¯s plot summary
Sonu (Vishwak), runs a well-known beauty parlour in the Old City and has earned the trust of many female clients because of his amazing makeup skills. But things take a strange turn when Sonu gets caught up in a conflict with Rustom, a local wrestler, and SI Shankar, a police officer. Amid all this chaos, Sonu is accused in a case involving Kalthi oil.
To avoid being caught, he decides to disguise himself as a woman and takes on the new identity of Laila. As Laila, Sonu manages to do things he couldn¡¯t do before like escaping the trouble he was in. But there¡¯s a twist: a mysterious woman named Jenny suddenly enters Sonu¡¯s life, and she becomes the key to the mystery of the story.

123Telugu rated the movie 2 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Laila is a silly, tedious and poorly executed film that fails to engage. Despite Vishwak Sen¡¯s efforts, the weak script, crass humour, and lack of depth make it a dull and unconvincing watch. With no emotional core, subpar writing, and uninspired direction, Laila ends up as a forgettable misfire that hardly justifies its existence.¡±
