Is Fame Game Season 2 Called Off?
If the sources are to be believed, the streaming service cancelled the agreement for Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor to start filming "The Fame Game" season 2 this year.
As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the source revealed, "Though Netflix India has dropped the show for now, if in case it was the content, the same can be reworked and adjusted. Once done, the second season can be reviewed by the OTT platform and even re-added to their catalogue. Right now, Netflix is concentrating on expanding a catalogue that features good content that will appeal and connect with the mass audience in India.¡±
Though there hasn't been any official confirmation from Netflix.
Fame Game Lacked In Some Few Areas And Was Lukewarm
Sadly, the reality doesn't seem to be working out as well as the plot. There aren't as many surprising turns, and it's possible that the creators had higher expectations than the series met.
The Dhak Dhak girl's debut on OTT was initially welcome news for everyone, and she had performed well in the series. But, her character lacked subtlety; for example, her reactions are either gushing with power or overflowing with goodness.
A number of plot lines are also left unresolved, and the show's flaws include treating Anamika like a saint despite her infidelity and defending her marriage to an abusive man by claiming that her mother compelled her to get married.
There are a lot of characters in the story who have grey areas, therefore it would have been good to see Madhuri's persona presented as a human with flaws rather than just as a Devi.
