Madraskaaran OTT Release Date: Shane Nigam recently headlined a Tamil emotional saga which arrived in theatres on January 10, 2025. Directed by Vaali Mohan Das, the movie¡¯s reviews emerged mixed. Nonetheless, after an underwhelming reception at the box office, the film is ready to seek its due on OTT within a month. Madraskaaran will be streaming on Aha Tamil from February 7.

Other than Shane, the actioner also stars Kalaiyarasan, Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas, Pandiarajan, Super Subbarayan, Geetha Kailasam, Lallu, Deepa Shankar and Udayaraj among others. Produced by B. Jagadish under the banner of SR Productions, Madraskaaran is a Sam C. S. musical cinematographed by Prasanna S. Kumar and edited by R. Vasanthakumar.

Madraskaaran¡¯s plot summary

The movie revolves around Sathya (Sathyamoorthy), who is an engineer-turned-farmer living in Kovilpatti with his father and wife, Meera. His life takes a drastic turn when he¡¯s attacked by unknown assailants, only to discover that his enemy, Singam, has sent them to kill him. The story follows Sathya¡¯s struggle to understand why Singam wants him dead and how he will protect his family from the looming threat.

Madraskaaran¡¯s review

The Times of India rated the movie 2 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Madraskaaran seizes on this well-worn Kollywood obsession ¡ª turning minor fender-benders into full-scale Greek tragedies ¡ª but never quite justifies the ensuing chaos. Despite competent performances, Madraskaaran can¡¯t overcome the weight of its own contrivances. By the end, you¡¯re left wondering why it took so many fights and tear-stained close-ups to say so very little.¡±
