Painkili OTT Release Date: Sajin Gopu and Anaswara Rajan recently headlined this Malayalam romantic comedy, which received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. Released theatrically on 14th February, aligning with Valentine¡¯s Day, the film is finally ready to make its digital debut. Painkili will be streaming on ManoramaMAX starting April 11, 2025.

Other than the lead duo, Painkili also stars Jisma Vimal, Roshan Shanavas, Abu Salim, Chandu Salimkumar, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Riyaz Khan, Aswathy B and Ambili Ayappan among others. Written by Jithu Madhavan and directed by debutant Sreejith Babu, the film is produced by Fahadh Faasil and Jithu Madhavan under the banner of Urban Animal and Fahadh Faasil and Friends.

Painkili¡¯s plot overview

The movie stars Sajin Gopu as Suku, a guy who runs a small printing shop, and Anaswara Rajan as Sheeba, a young woman trying to escape the pressure from her family to get married. The story follows Suku, who goes to Coimbatore to buy new equipment for his shop but ends up getting into some trouble. To avoid getting in serious legal trouble, he pretends to be insane and ends up in a mental hospital.

While there, he meets Asha, a kind nurse who sees through his act and starts to care for him. Meanwhile, Sheeba is doing everything she can to avoid an arranged marriage, even trying to run away, but her family keeps stopping her. Eventually, her path crosses with Suku's after he gets out of the hospital, and they both face funny and touching situations as they try to deal with their problems.
