This particular event was also attended by Varun Dhawana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu who are starring in the Desi version of Citadel. Varun took to his Instagram handle to share a photo with director duo Raj and DK and co-star Samantha. He captioned it as, "Team huddle in England #citadelindia".

A while ago, PC was questioned about the crossover news that has been making the rounds. In an interview with ETimes, she said,
"I think all the shows so far, the Italian show and the Indian show and our show, are, as a story, connected with each other. So the more you watch the shows, the more layers you'll peel away."

According to the official synopsis, Citadel follows elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra), who had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives after the fall of independent global spy agency Citadel. Thereafter, they build new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent rival agency Manticore from establishing a new world order.

In an interview with DNA, Priyanka shared, ¡°Almost 80% of the stunts on the show, I did myself because I trust my body and my instincts. But I learnt a lot and the action that I have done on this show is definitely very different from what I have done before.¡±

During one of her promotional events, desi girl Priyanka Chopra shared that Citadel is a compilation of everything that she has learned in the 22 years of her career.

In an interview with Extra TV, she expressed her joy at kick starting Citadel global tour from her homeland India. She said, ¡°It was so sweet. It was very emotional for me that we kicked off this whole global tour in Mumbai. I was sitting right next to Richard and my mom and we're surrounded by friends and family and industry folk that have seen me since I was 18 years old. It was poignant and really emotional for me. Citadel is the sum of my 22 years in the business. It's everything that I have learnt and everything that I know. It's something I'm very proud of and hopefully people will enjoy the show as much as we enjoy it.¡±

She also spoke about her daughter's first visit to Mumbai, "It was Malti's first time in India. It was Malti's first time in Mumbai. She loves it. She loved everything about it, from the sights to the sounds, to the food... from going to her nani's house, which is my mom's house. She loved everything about it."
The first two episodes of the six-part series will premiere on April 28. Citadel will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
